Job Description:
Sector: Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
Purpose
His/her principal role will be to coordinate the sourcing, procurement, and management of supplies and vendors in the company. He/she will define the purchasing strategy in collaboration with the general management of the company and ensure its implementation through a targeted choice of products / services and suppliers. This position is ideally suited to an experienced procurement professional who has worked with the multinational FCMG manufacturing organization. He/She will work in the Finance department.
Role
Operational duties
- Prospect, draft bids and select suppliers capable of meeting the strategic needs of the company
- Negotiate with suppliers the supply conditions in terms of cost, quality, lead time, and terms of payment...
- Advise and support the management in the implementation of the purchasing policy and the setting of objectives of optimization of costs, quality and deadline
- Build and manage supplier quality and develop long-term relationships with preferred suppliers
Identify, anticipate and manage supplier risks
- Ensure the smooth delivery of items until delivery to the departments concerned.
- Set up and follow the indicators of its activity.
- Control procurement procedures and contract execution.
- Define with the services concerned the control points to optimize the internal control of the purchasing chain and contribute to budgetary control of expenditure
Supplier follow-up:
- Sourcing and liaising with the key consultants and suppliers
- Coordinate with the group suppliers to gather information about their machinery requirements and specifications.
- Prepare enquiry documents and invite competitive offers from companies globally and evaluate offers based on their technological merits.
- Negotiate prices / commercial terms and prepare contract documents and finalize contracts with selected suppliers.
- Conflict resolution with Suppliers and Contractors and achieve favorable results.
- Co-ordinate with the Logistics and Documentary teams and resolve commercial issues.
- Ensuring the yearly budget is met.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience.
At least a Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or related discipline required
Minimum of 06 years of related, with relevant experience in a plant is preferable
- Supply chain, Sourcing, SAP proficiency or other certifications are preferred
- Strong reporting and analytics capabilities required
- Good negotiation and cost management skills
